Well, updates on my site will be slow. Those who follow me on Facebook will know that I've lost yet another Hard Drive to mechanical failure and thus will not be online quite as often until it is replaced. I'm considering going Solid State to prevent this particular issue from happening again.
In other news, I'm happy with the latest news from the Caroll Creek area of Downtown Frederick. Last week one of the beautiful old stone warehouses burned down, and with many of the old buildings slated for demolition already I was worried it would be repalced by yet another high rise apartment or office building. I'm really glad to hear that the owner plans to preserve the remaining walls and rebuild! And on top of that good news, the Frederick News Post announced today that the old cannery (NPS Conservation Center building) slated to be replaced by a parking deck, will now be kept intact with the release of a new, smaller parking deck plan. Unless they are complete eyesores, old buildings need preserved, not replaced.
And finally in the world of Rail Parks, I'm brainstorming ideas for starting an all new Non-Profit organization dedicated to getting this park built! Anyone interested in helping is welcome to contact me.
